About the Course:
Asian Film Studies aims to provide a basic understanding of the themes, content, and culture of Asian movies, as well as an introduction to film making techniques. The course consists of one 2 hour lecture per week, which will include a short informal discussion at the end of each class. In this class, the students will be watching many Asian movies.
Here is a short list of movies we will be watching this year. We’ll have some lectures where the class can choose from a selection of movies to watch.

How to Enroll:
The first lecture will be on September 5th
The class will be held in 219 Dwinelle Hall from 5:30-7:30PM every Wednesday
Enrollment will be based upon attending the first lecture and filling out a form. We will randomly select students for the class and email the CCN. There are no guaranteed spots and no exceptions to the rule. This is a highly impacted decal so don’t count on this course to fill in your unit requirement! The first lecture is scheduled to be on Wednesday September 5th
