About the Course:
Providing a thorough introduction to the stock markets, “Introduction to Stocks” will offer students of all majors and education levels an alternative to the conventional finance class. This DeCal course aims to help students develop the ability and knowledge to make decisions with stock investing. The class will utilize PowerPoint, online articles, exercises as well as incorporate a virtual simulation. By the end of the course, students will not only know how to start investing on their own account, but also more importantly, know how to analyze stocks and the market itself. How to Enroll:
Applications will be given out on the first day of class. You MUST be physically present at the first section of the class if you intend on taking this course. I will discuss details about the application and submission instructions during that day. Enrollment instructions and CCNs will given out on the second day of class for the final class group.
First day of class is scheduled to September 5th.
Classes will take place on Wednesday 530-7PM at 110 Barrows.
For additional instructions with regards to the application, please go to the course website, then to the downloads section, and then Lecture 1.
