About the Course:

We will read one chapter of key business text and international bestseller Getting to Yes: Negotiating Agreement Without Giving In by Roger Fisher & William Ury per week.  We will review important tactics, analyze how similar techniques were used in high-profile cases and practice what we learned in role-play during class. 

Grades are determined by attendance (two excused absences), in-class participation and completion of weekly readings with a brief written summary of tactics learned. 

 

At the end of the semester, students will have learned useful negotiation tactics that they can apply to daily conflicts and in the workplace!
