About the Course:

Our website contains much more information, and can be accessed here.

Web Design DeCal (WDD) is a 2-unit, student-run course at the University of California, Berkeley that will teach students how to build a beautiful website. WDD is divided into two sections:

The programming section teaches the three fundamental components of any website: HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript (jQuery).

The design section teaches web design philosophies which will allow you to recreate modern design trends such as responsive design and flat UI.

A detailed week by week course outline can be found on our website, http://wdd.io

Note: This course does not cover server-side programming or back-end frameworks like Django, Rails, or PHP. The material is limited to front-end web development.
