About the Course:


-There will be four short reading responses on selected news articles throughout the semester. 

-Students will also complete two policy memos and present the second one at the end of semester. It's not something to worry about: we will teach you how to do it and have examples


-It makes up 30% of your total grade, and we expect you to attend most of the class meetings. 

-If you have to miss a class, please email one of the facilitators ahead of time! 

How to Enroll:

There's no application for this course, but we are looking for student who are eager to learn more about California politics and participate in class discussion and activities.

However, we intent to cap the calss size at about 35 students to maximize class partipation and interactive learning. Please review the sample syllabus to make sure you are really interested in the course material.
