About the Course:

Social dancing is a means of expression, creation, enjoyment, and gathering for communities in the 21st century.  A group of Berkeley students, originating from the on-campus group Lindy on Sproul, has come together to create a class that both teaches you to swing dance and introduces you to the history and culture of social dancing.

We will be presenting a 13-week series introducing students to social swing dancing, emphasizing lindy hop.  The course includes both a Beginner I section for those new to social dancing and a Beginner II section for those wishing to further their previous dancing knowledge.  No dance partner is required.

Will be Tuesdays, 6-8PM in 234 Hearst Gym

How to Enroll:

Space is limited, so enrollment will be determined based on attendance of the first two classes and a short entrance questionnaire.  The CCN will be given out before the second class.

Enrollment Summary:

Come to the first class (informational) on September 6th. Then fill out the online entrance questionnaire. If admitted, you will receive the CCN by e-mail before the second class.

Entrance Questionnaire: (Check after first informational meeting)
