About the Course:

Second only to water, tea is the most popular beverage not only in our country, but in the world. Since thousands of years ago when human beings discovered the magical impact of this little plant, tea can now be found cultivated, consumed and enjoyed throughout all continents. In one cup of tea, one can find not only the beverage itself; contained in there are also months of cultivation, years of mastering the techniques and centuries of a rich and blooming culture.

TeaCal believes that the glorious tea culture is not only wrapped within those bags you can find in almost any grocery stores. Every high-quality, loose tea leafs carries with itself a history, a tradition and the love and passion of its tea master. Tea is a gift that anyone should be able to enjoy.

TeaCal is designed not only for tea connoisseurs or tea lovers. Indeed we would love to spread our love of tea to all of you beginners. Every class we would sit down and enjoy as many teas as possible, all FREE of charge. You will also be able to have a long nice chat with your peers regarding your tea experience. By the end of the course, you will be able to distinguish between many different varieties of tea and even make your perfect cup of tea on your own.

The class functions mostly on participation basis. Occasional readings and documentaries will be assigned in class for the purpose of deepening your tea discussion. Otherwise, this is a nice place to just enjoy yourself and blend in with other people with the same passion and curiosity as you.
