About the Course:

Everyday we hear or learn about the injustices, conflicts, and latest outbreaks of violence in our communities, nations, and world. Whether we walk down the street, watch the news, or sit in a lecture, it's an intimidating world out there. As students, it's a daunting task to figure out where we fit in. Oftentimes larger concepts of peace can feel insurmountable and the actions of one individual inconsequential. As young people, how can we begin to make a difference? As rising leaders, problem-solvers, and global citizens, what kind of impact can we make on the world?

"Six Billion Paths: Finding Your Authentic Voice for Social Change" is a space to explore and act on these questions. Through service, self-reflection, and theory, we will examine ourselves and our lives within the context of the larger global community, and look at powerful individuals, ideas, and movements for inspiration to build a more peaceful world.
