About the Course:

Knitting isn’t for grandmothers anymore! This semester-long class is designed to help new knitters get their bearings. We’ll start off simple, introducing the building blocks of all possible stitches – knits and purls. From there things go in every direction, from knitting with color to understanding even the most complicated of knitting patterns.

With each new technique, there will be a (simple) corresponding project to be completed before the next week. The final weeks of the class will be geared towards a final project that must incorporate a number of techniques learned throughout the semester. Anything goes as long as it can be completed in time, but don’t get too attached as we’ll be sending the final projects to a local charity.

The class is meant for beginners or those with little to no prior knitting experience.

How to Enroll:

Class limit is 10 students. All students MUST attend the first class in order to fill out a sign-up form. Afterwards, you will be notified by e-mail if you’re accepted into the class.

For those unable to attend either due to scheduling conflicts or if the class is full, PLEASE try to come to the first class. If there is enough interest, I will open an outside section. The class will cover all of the same material as the Decal, but will instead be broken up into 4-week sessions. This is an ideal option for knitters who are already familiar with the basics but would like to further their knitting skills.
