About the Course:
Greetings! Welcome to the Films of P.T. Anderson! This course will focus on the body of work written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. Through film screenings, discussion, and written work, we will analyze the themes presented in each film. Some of the themes that we will focus on include the American construction of masculinity, family, weapons, sexual identity, as well as many others.We will have screenings of each film in class. Class will be delivered in the format of discussion and we will use this time to explore the various themes and motifs that occur in each film and across his body of work.
