About the Course:
Through the decal, students will gain in depth knowledge on how diabetes impairs the body and how one can avoid or cope with the complications that arise from this chronic disease. In addition, students will be exposed to the implications of the disease related to health policy and management. The purpose of this class is also to have students explore personal health and establish goals for improvement in the areas of nutrition and exercise. Professionals (physicians, nutritionist, professors) will present seminars during class to further our knowledge in the areas described. By the end of the semester, students will have the vital knowledge and skills necessary to convey the information to their communities.How to Enroll:
