Craft of Facilitating
About the Course:
The Craft of Facilitating provides current and potential undergraduate course facilitators a creative and challenging environment to explore how they design and facilitate a course.In the Craft of Facilitating, students
- learn course design.
- learn how to write a syllabus.
- learn different ways to promote engagement and equitable participation.
- practice facilitation skills by preparing and piloting lessons.
- provide and receive honest, supportive, constructive feedback.
The Craft of Facilitating is a 2 unit course for Pass/No Pass Credit, counting toward the Field Studies requirement for the Ed Minor, with no prerequisites. (If you are facilitating a course while taking Craft of Facilitating, you are eligible to receive an extra unit.)
This course is offered through the Undergraduate Course Facilitator Training and Resources (UCFTR) Program in the Student Learning Center (SLC).
