About the Course:

This is an easy and fun De-Cal class that meets once a week. In the class you'll learn what it's like to be a member of the Peace Corps from a slew of young returned Peace Corps volunteers just dying to tell us their crazy stories abroad. This class also helps students gain an understanding of what's going on in the world and alternative organizations in Berkeley and around the earth students can get involved in! Aside from writing a weekly short summary of a news article that interests you the rest of the work is done in class. I also designed the class so that you spend a lot of time meeting other students and sharing ideas. The returned Peace Corps volunteer's presentations are interactive and filled with pictures, stories, and music.

This is going to be an awesome class this semester! If you've ever thought about joining the Peace Corps definitely come to the first class meeting where you''ll learn a great deal just in those 2 hours! Also check out the syllabus to look over the course goals, class format, requirements, weekly events and schedule of guest speakers.

How to Enroll:

The first day of class is Friday September 7th! Its a popular De-Cal so please try to make the first meeting. I look forward to meeting all of you !! :)
