Palestine: The Social and Psychological Realities of Military Occupation
About the Course:
The violence experienced by Palestinians due to occupation is both immediate and overt but also insidious and hidden. Upon exploring the history and facts on the ground in Palestine, the purpose of this class to investigate the physiological implications of living under occupation on a daily basis through biography, testimonials from Palestinian refugees, poetry, art, film, guest lecturers and more.
It is also a goal of ours to make parallels to each individual student’s life. Therefore, class participation is imperative. All are welcome.
Note* our syllabus is attached. However it is still tentative as we are still confirming guest lecturers and reviewing readings.
*First day of class is September 5th
