Fall 2016
GWS 98
1 Unit(s)

About the Course:

For both the first-time meditator and experienced yogi, this course will explore the constraints that keep us from finding satisfaction in the present moment by examining perspectives on ecofeminism, capitalism, and neoliberalism.

What does it mean to live in harmony with the Earth? What keeps us from finding this state? How do material objects improve your life? How do they affect your worldview? Is consumerism a bad thing? Are you happy? What does it mean to be happy?

If you are interested in any of these questions, or just curious about meditation and how it may benefit a stressed-out Berkeley student, come say hi at our first class! We can't wait to meet you.

How to Enroll:

Just show up to the first day of class! You will receive enrollment information there. (First come, first served.)
