About the Course:


Course Objectives This course, in conjunction with the Institute of European Studies at Berkeley seeks to enrich the students’ understanding of Europe — it’s people, developments and challenges — through the provision of lectures from distinguished speakers. Our goal is to enhance cross-disciplinary understandings of European issues and issues related to Europe through facilitating in-class dialogue. The class will meet Mondays 4.30pm -5.30pm in 201 Moses Hall (Institute of European Studies)


Policies/Grading Procedures This class is graded on a Pass/No Pass basis. Students will be required to attend weekly Monday meetings and are allowed 2 absences throughout the semester to pass the Decal. In addition to Monday meetings students must attend a minimum of four European Studies guest lectures/events.
