About the Course:

This semester, Asian American Pacific Islander Health Reseach Group has been joined by Asian Health Services, Asian American and Asian Diaspora Studies, and APASD to sponsor its 8th annual UC Berkeley speaker series on contemporary health issues in the AAPI community. 

Our Spring 2016 speaker series is called Break the Silence. BTS aims to highlight AAPI community health and social justice issues currently invisible within the current public health curriculum. Weekly sessions will consist of lectures and discussions led by AAPI physicians, community health researchers, policy analysts, and activists in the San Francisco Bay Area.

How to Enroll:

Each session is open to the campus community.  You do not have to be enrolled in the DeCal in order to attend individual sessions.

Students interested taking the Break the Silence speaker series as a DeCal, however, will receive 2 units and have the opportunity to apply for a research internship or course facilitator position the following fall semester.
