About the Course:

In order to better portray a character, an actor must be able to fully inhabit that character.  This course will cover basic methods which performers use in order to alter their appearance to transform into another person.  We’ll begin with essential color theory and contouring, giving students the basics of how stage makeup works.  Then we’ll develop more advanced, character-specific skills such as old age makeup and creating wounds.  At the end of the course, students will use their skills to create their own character.

In order to participate in this course, students must purchase the course-approved makeup kit.  The kit can be found at

*Because of the price of the kit, I am currently look at options to get a discount.

How to Enroll:

If you are interested in the course, please fill out the following course interest form no later than Wednesday, December 23rd at 11:59pm.  Admittance/waitlist decisions will go out on Thursday, December 24th.  After that, more information will be given about how to order the makeup kits.  Those who turn in the form by the deadline are given first priority; those who submit after will only be admitted as space allows.
