About the Course:

Parkour is a practice that encompasses the routine of physical and mental fortitude. The idea retains two major aspects—innovation and practicality. We hone ourselves to be able to take a variation of paths from point A to point B. We give ourselves the capability to move optimally and gracefully. Parkour is an open commitment that allows us to appreciate our surroundings and use it to our advantage.

The objective of this class is to familiarize you with the application of parkour.  We will be teaching about the theoretical understanding before moving to the physical practice, to secure knowledge of safety rules and bails.  By the end of this course, you will be expected to understand the fundamental basics of parkour and perform certain moves within your comfort range.

No athletic background is required. If you are just hoping to get a little exercise or are interested in parkour in general, this course will help you understand the efficiency of your own movements. We ask that everyone attending wear covered shoes-mainly sneakers. Flip-flops and sandals tend to make us wary since they can cause trips and thus injuries. Stay hydrated and bring water. There are water fountains on campus but as we tend to move around, it is not guaranteed that we will be near one at all times.

Passing (or not) will be determined by attendance and participation, along with two assignments in the semester.

How to Enroll:

We will be giving the link to our application on the first day of class. Those who are interested but cannot attend, must notify all the facilitators via email, along with the reason.
