About the Course:

No previous knowledge required as we will cover both the basics of feminism and environmentalism before diving into the interdisciplinary field of ecofeminism, as long as you are open minded and curious to learn about a new way of looking at the world. We will see what kind of discourse this narrative between women, nature, and other systems of oppression can offer us in striving towards a more balanced society. There will be a few introductory lectures from us and guest speakers but the rest of the time will be seminar style discussions and group discussions. We designed this class to be a space for collaborative learning rather than a traditional classroom setting where information is just thrown at everyone so it is up to you to put in as much or as little effort. We do hope that everyone is excited to participate and contribute if you’re taking the class in the first place!
