About the Course:

CPA is an exploration of the world of Pokémon. This course introduces general Pokémon media (e.g. the manga, anime, and games), discusses the social implications of the Pokéverse, examines fan culture and meta-gaming, delves into the theoretical science behind Pokémon, and more.

Hardcore fans, those who are simply curious about the franchise, and everyone in between are welcome to join us on a (quasi-)Pokémon adventure!

- There will be two one-hour classes per week. Each class will include a lecture on a specific topic and may feature an open discussion.

- Homework will be assigned on a weekly basis. There will be one major final project due at the end of the course. See syllabus for details.

- Grades are determined by three factors: weekly assignment completion, final project completion, and attendance.

How to Enroll:

Availability is limited to around 30 seats. To request admission, attend the first day of class and complete a quick questionnaire. Enrollment will be offered to the students with the most creative and thoughtful responses.

Note: You're eligible to join regardless of how much you already know about Pokémon. We only ask that you have a ready, passionate attitude toward learning more about the franchise.
