About the Course:

It's the return of Berkeley's most popular DeCal! Come on down to the South Park DeCal and discuss current issues and events by watching episodes of one of your favorite shows! We'll be dealing with controversial topics that range from racism to the electoral process, so be prepared to speak your mind.

This class will consist of various themes throughout the weeks that involve 2-3 episodes which tie together a general topic. In between each episode, we will talk about what we just watched, why it is relevant to the theme, and how South Park did on dealing with the issue at hand.

How to Enroll:

Because of the high demand to get in to this class, we will have a small "test" in order to narrow down the options and make it fair for everyone to get in, rather than having a simple number draw. We will hold it on September 5 at 6pm in McCone Hall, room 0145.

The "test" will consist of South Park knowledge--which is only slightly relevant--and current event/communication skills knowledge--which is way more important. We're looking for people who are capable of forming their own opinions and who are willing to TALK about the issues. So if you're looking for a DeCal where you can sit in the back and sleep, this isn't for you. All opinions are welcome, except for the wrong ones. Just kidding.

After the "test", we will email you the CCN and we will start the next week, on September 12.
