About the Course:
It is impossible to learn about the history of nuclear weapons without looking at the University of California, yet so many see the UC without even noticing the weapons it has produced and continues to produce. This course is meant to raise awareness of UC’s role in mass destruction as well as looking at how militarism affects education and science in general. We also consider the legal, geopolitical, and ethical dimensions of nuclear weapons.
