About the Course:
Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' magnum opus, Watchmen, has had a tremendous cultural impact since it's initial publication. In this class, we'll be reading it, and talking about this impact. Along the way, we'll talk heavily about the way in which reading or experiencing other texts or works of art change our perception of not just Watchmen, but any work.
Remember, since we'll be reading through the graphic novel, the good news is that you don't need to have read it beforehand to appreciate it. All you'll need is a fresh enthusiasm and some curiosity (and the book, that part's really important)
How to Enroll:
If there are more students on the first day(August 23) than seats available, there will be a lottery to decide who gets into the class. Otherwise CCN's will be distributed at the first meeting.
Attendance is mandatory, and you will have to complete make-up work if you miss a certain amount of classes.
