Integrative Medicine: Exploring Your Healthcare Choices
About the Course:
Welcome to the Integrative Medicine DeCal, Spring 2012 edition!
The goal of this class is to expose students to the diversity of healing philosophies and therapies around the world. We invite passionate professionals from fields such as allopathy (modern western medicine), osteopathy, naturopathy, homeopathy, midwifery, Native American Medicine, acupuncture, Chinese Medicine, Taoist Medicine, Ayurveda, ethnobotany, yoga, meditation, biofeedback, chiropractics, and nutrition to share their insight into the science and art of healing.
All majors are welcome! (No science background necessary)
Requirements for passing class:
-attend all classes (2 absences max, including those prior to when you signed up)
-attend 4 workshops (yoga session at RSF, see a chiropractor, try acupuncture/acupressure, etc.)
-complete short feedback surveys
-write a 2-page double-spaced reflection for each workshop you attended

*If you are a chemistry student interested in taking the course but have 3 midterms that conflict with the lectures, send us an email and we will work something out! :)
