About the Course:

Premed 101 is for students looking to acquire a better understanding of the often confusing issues in the field of medicine as well as medical school application process.

The class will begin with a summary of the classes to take to be a successful premed, how to go about obtaining research/clinical experience, and how to do well on the MCAT. The class will shift later in the course on major issues in the field of medicine that are crucial to the day to day lives of being a physician.

Throughout this course you will hear from a myriad of informative speakers that are highly successful in their respective fields such as physicians, surgeons, premed counselors and medical school students. The 2 units will come from five homework assignments and attendance. There is more information on our course syllabus.

How to Enroll:

Premed 101 will be held in 2040 VLSB every Wednesday 5-630. Please sign up for the lower division if you are a freshman or sophomore (less than 60 units) and upper division if you are a Junior or a Senior. THERE IS CLASS THE FIRST WEEK! CLASS FILLS UP VERY QUICKLY SO SIGN UP BEFORE YOU SHOW UP TO THE FIRST CLASS. It is highly improbable that your enrollment will be accepted after the 2nd week of class.
