About the Course:
This course aims to answer the question of whether or not marijuana should be considered an illicit drug. Attention will be given to the history of marijuana use in human cultures—both past and present—as well as current drug policies and case law. We will also briefly cover the physical and psychological effects of marijuana on the human body. Students will be presented with arguments from all sides of the spectrum and encouraged to make their own decisions regarding marijuana’s place in today’s society.
