About the Course:
Street art is the art of our generation. This course deals with the practice and discussion of a street artist’s most prolific tool, the stencil.
Building on simple one-color prints and multi-layered pieces, the art of stenciling introduces the aids of technology, laser-cut possibilities, multi-stencil repetition, and full graphic t-shirt art. Learn and practice spray paint care and techniques with five lab days testing your stencils by making your own t-shirts or spraying on canvas. This course is open for all skill levels for anyone with a desire to learn.
We are very passionate about t-shirts and stenciling and would love to share our knowledge as well as explore new realms with fellow students. Join us on this exciting trip exploring the art of a stencil.
How to Enroll:
Come to the first day of class with two concise responses to “why you would like to take this class” and "what does art mean to you" with your email on the bottom of the page. Depending on the amount of people, this could determine whether you will be enrolled this semester.
Recommended:Submit some of your own artwork to help us get to know you better. Pictures or representations of your art are also fine.
