About the Course:

This course will teach a small group of Berkeley students the fundamentals of the contemporary instrument, the turntables. This course will be taught by two active DJs with prior experience DJ-ing in both formal and informal settings (who both initally learned to DJ from such a DeCal course). This course will be extremely hands on and collaborative. The beginning of each class will be a short lecture followed by the students practicing the newly introduced concepts live.

The course will be once-a-week, on Tuesdays, from 7-9PM.

The first class meeting is on Friday, Feb. 2nd.

How to Enroll:

Given the necessity for hands-on practice and limited resources, we can only enroll a small number of students.

The application period is now closed. Thank you for everyone who applied...we got over 150 apps.

You can expect to hear back from us by Friday, Jan. 29th if you've been enrolled in the class.
