About the Course:

Social dancing is a means of expression, creation, enjoyment, and gathering for communities in the 21st century. A group of Berkeley students, originating from the on-campus group Lindy on Sproul, has come together to create a class that presents social dancing from a historical and political point of view, teaches different modern forms of social dancing, and hopefully inspires students to embrace social dancing as a form of American culture.

We will be presenting a 13-week series introducing students to different forms of social swing dancing.  The course includes both a Beginner I section for those new to social dancing and a Beginner II section for those wishing to further their previous dancing knowledge.  No dance partner is required.

How to Enroll:

Space is limited, so enrollment will be determined based on attendance of the first two classes and a short entrance questionnaire.  The CCN will be given out before the second class.

Enrollment Summary:

 Come to the first class on January 26th. Turn in the entrance questionnaire that will be handed out at the first class. If admitted, you will receive the CCN by e-mail before the second class.
