About the Course:

This course will allow students to explore issues relating to food production and consumption, to discover the role of the media in exposing these issues, and to produce a magazine about food sustainability in the Berkeley area. The magazine will be distributed at all of the dining locations on campus around Earth Day 2010 (April 22nd). Classes may consist of guest lectures, discussion, film screenings, and individual work.


How to Enroll:

Classes will begin on 2 February and will take place weekly on Tuesdays from 6-8 pm.

To obtain the CCNs, please send an email to with a couple sentences about why you are interested in enrolling in the class and what skills or experience you think you might bring to the class.
