About the Course:

In 2006, Muhammad Yunus and the Grameen Bank won the Nobel Peace Prize for creating economic and social development from below. The award validated microfinance as not just a movement, but a sustainable business segment. Essentially, microfinance, also commonly referred to as microcredit or microenterprise, provides financial services to low-income populations. Students will gain a broad, objective overview of the field, including the history and context, successes and failures, and key domestic and international players. This course will be a mixture of guest speakers, lectures, and media.

How to Enroll:

If you are interested in enrolling in the course please show up to the first class on Tuesday, Sept. 1st, 5-6pm at 30 Wheeler. It is mandatory to attend this class as we will give out CCN's during class.
