About the Course:

This course is required for new reporters at the Daily Californian. The course will cover basic skills for all aspects of news journalism, including reporting, blogging and multimedia production. The course will be structured as a series of workshops.

It will be facilitated by Valerie Woolard, a former news editor for the Daily Californian and will be held on Mondays from 7-9 p.m.

How to Enroll:

This class is open to all students, but priority will be given to new hires at the Daily Californian.

The first class meeting will take place on September 21, in 2062 VLSB. Attend the first class session to obtain a course entry code. New employees of the Daily Cal can request CECs after being hired.
