About the Course:
The PreMed 101 decal for Spring 2009 is a collaboration between UC Berkeley undergraduates and UCSF medical students.
This course is designed to help students interested in or curious about becoming medical doctors negotiate the complex and often confusing world of premed life and medical school applications. We will also address issues related to the field of medicine such as complementary/alternative care, public health, medical ethics, and medical economics.
In the past, PreMed 101 has also helped secure for its students, positions in research laboratories, shadowing opportunities with doctors, and even paid-positions in hospital ERs and its facilitators continue to seek out even more opportunities for their students.
The scope of this course can be further expanded to fit student needs and interests.
