About the Course:
This class is an introduction to LaTeX for uses in math, science and engineering.
Our first goal is to help you typeset your homework and scholarly articles. After this we will introduce you to different types of documents and packages such as resumes, articles, theses, and others. We will end with a discussion of graphics and
how to share LaTeX files with others. We hope to give you enough familiarity
with LaTeX so that you have the skills to type most technical documents in
LaTeX.
How to Enroll:
To enroll please email latex-enroll@lists.berkeley.edu giving your SId number, first and last name, email, and 98/198 status. If you have less than 60 units you should be in 98, more than 60 units, you should be in 198. As well you could show up at our first class period (date pending) and enroll on the spot, but if you are reasonably sure you want to enroll it will save you from getting tangled up in the administrative chaos that occurs at the beginning of each semester if you take the email option.
