About the Course:

Entrepreneurship is the art and skill of utilizing resources to implement new ideas.  Starting your own bar, music venue, or nightclub requires not only keen business savvy but also creativity, networking skills, and a passion for the industry.

This course emphasizes that, in addition to business knowledge, a broad array of legal and social skills are needed to start and maintain a nightlife enterprise successfully.  Upon completion of this course, students will have gained an understanding of basic entrepreneurship and industry-specific knowledge from information presented first-hand by bar and nightclub owners, as well as from a selection of outside readings.

The class will allow young entrepreneurs to assess their skills, resources, and industry competition, and equip them with the basic knowledge to help turn their dream scheme for a nightlife or entertainment venue into a viable business plan.
