The Berkeley Fiction Review is a nationally distributed publication that receives short fiction from all over the world. The BFR is entirely student run, with class members taking part in reviewing and choosing which of these stories get published. This decal is a great opportunity to learn more about publishing, copyediting, and critiquing short fiction. In addition, students may have the opportunity to participate in other areas: selecting artwork for the magazine, work related to copyediting, fundraising, marketing, layout design, and other general topics of the small press.The Berkeley Fiction Review publishes short stories of various styles in an annual magazine, from the mainstream to the experimental, but we do not publish poetry or non-fiction. Members of the class are NOT allowed to submit stories for publication. To be clear, we read short fiction, we do not write it.

If you have received an email saying "You are on the list" this means that you have a spot in the class. If you have received an email saying "You are #__ on the waitlist" that is the waitlist for your section (98 or 198). There are 25 spots and 15 wailtisted in 198. There are 15 spots and 15 waitlisted in 98.
The CCN will be given out at the first meeting. You will not be allowed into the class if you are not at the first meeting.
The class will start February 3rd (the third week of class)
