About the Course:
Returning for the sixth consecutive semester, FianCHESSo's Introduction to Chess DeCal is 2 hrs, once per week, of chess designed for beginning to intermediate players. The first hour involves a discussion-style lecture from ranked instructors, and the second hour is dedicated to playing chess with your classmates.
8 weeks of chess tactics/strategies
7 weeks of other chess-related themes (variations, puzzles, etc)

Attending one of the first two classes is essential to getting into the course. Note that this DeCal starts quite early, on the second week of school Wednesday, January 28, 2009 from 6 - 8 pm in 101 Morgan
