Welcome to the world of South Park, one of Berkeley's most popular DeCals! Now in its 6th semester of existence, we've become somewhat of a staple here. We'll watch 2-3 episodes per week that deal with a specific theme, ranging from racism to the electoral process. In between each episode, we'll talk about what we just watched, why it's relevant to the theme, and how South Park did on dealing with the issue at hand. So if you're interested in getting SCHOOL CREDIT for watching one of your favorite shows, or perhaps discovering it for the first time, come on down to South Park.

Enrollment Info:

Because of the high demand to get into this class, we will have a small "test" in order to narrow down the options and make it fair for everyone to get in, rather than having a simple number draw. We will hold it on September 9th at 6pm in 209 Dwinelle.

The "test" will consist of South Park knowledge--which is only slightly relevant--and current event/communication skills knowledge--which is WAY more important. We're looking for people who are capable of forming their own opinions and who are willing to TALK about the issues. So if you're looking for a DeCal where you can sit in the back and sleep, this isn't for you. All opinions are welcome...except for the wrong ones. Just kidding.

And seriously, young Golden Bears, don't worry about the "test." See those quotations around it? Don't they make it less scary?
