About the Course:

As young adults, many go through life learning money management by trial and error. This course will help students gain a better understanding and knowledge of the basics of paying for college and successfully managing their student loans. Through the use of PowerPoint, exercises, and other supporting materials, students with varying levels of knowledge are provided with information they need to feel empowered regarding their finances.

Special topics are clarified to help students learn the resources available to pay for college and which ones to avoid, education tax benefits, how to keep track of their student loans, when loan consolidation is a good move, how to bring overdue accounts current, and loan forgiveness plans.

This course provides an overview of basic skills regarding paying for college within the context of the U.S. financial system. There are no prerequisites. 

How to Enroll:

There are no entrance essays or applications. Just come to our first class on Thu, Jan. 31st in C335 and sign up.
