About the Course:

Join the Jade Ribbon Campaign DeCal and the fight against Hepatitis B and Liver Cancer in the Asian and Asian-American population!

The hepatitis B virus (HBV) affects approximately 10% of Asians and Asian-Americans. HBV is the major cause of liver cirrhosis and liver cancer, and is one of the greatest health disparities facing Asian communities worldwide.

The Jade Ribbon Campaign DeCal will provide opportunities for students to understand Hepatitis B issues and gain real-life public health outreach experience. Students will be working in the campus and community to spread awareness and influence care of Asians and Asian-Americans with chronic hepatitis B.
This course is an invaluable opportunity for those students concerned with medical, Asian-American and public health issues.
