About the Course:
Learn about hunger and malnutrition in the Berkeley area by participating in service projects at local organizations that seek to remedy the need. Students will have the opportunity to engage in community service and reflective discussion in order to gain a deeper understanding about the causes of hunger and its possible solutions. The class requires participation in service activities, short reflections responses, and a class-designed final project addressing hunger on a local, national, or international level. Come give back to the community, learn about an important issue, and have some fun working with a cool group of people!
