About the Course:
This course will focus mainly on the evolution of American residential architecture. Most students have a fundamental understanding of architecture, and it is the aim of this course to help them build upon this knowledge in order to be able to confidently recognize and analyze various residential architectural styles.
-Class Time
-1.5-hour seminar, once a week
-8/10 classes required to pass
-Weekly assignments
-Reading: articles/text excerpts
-Response: one-page description of a selected building
-8/10 responses required to pass
-Weekly Quizzes
-Final
-5-10 minute presentation OR two- page paper on a style not covered extensively in class OR an analysis of your own home
-Required to pass
How to Enroll:
The course will begin February 9th, and CCNs will be distributed at the first meeting.
